Natural Enemy Description
Adalia bipunctata Predatory lady beetle. Larval and adult stages eat many aphid species. Adalia is not expected to reproduce. The larval stage is brown or blackish grey with black and yellow spots. Adult beetles are used for hot spots in addition to Aphidius and Aphidoletes. Adalia enters diapause (hibernation) in the fall when daylength is short and evening temperatures drop.
